Kennedy Meadows
That's right, made it to Kennedy Meadows, gateway to the awesome Sierras! Last week from Tehachapi was very dry and rugged, but oh so beautiful. Gonna take a few days here before leaving for the High Sierras, the toughest part of the whole trip. Stay tuned for a full update! Thanks guys

My son (HappyWhale),(23 yrs/White-Hispanic/shoulder length brown hair/thin/from No. Calif/cute) arrived at Kennedy Meadows 6/7/2011. Our contact is limited. He does not have a journal and reading your postings helps me relate to what he must also be experiencing.

Ha, I've actually been hiking with Happy Whale for a few days now! We rolled into Kennedy Meadows together, will probably roll out the same day too!
